Dear Church Family,
Pentecost is called the birthday of the church. The power of God’s Spirit filled a room of scared followers of Jesus and inspired them to move out into the world to share the good news. Although there are many important parts to the story, one of the most important is found in the very first verse when Luke writes, “they were all together in one place.” They were together. They were connected to one another.
Connect is the theme of our 2017-2018 stewardship series. It’s the foundation of who we are at Shepherd of the Hills as we seek to connect people with Jesus and each other. Jesus was all about connecting people into relationship because he knew that when we are connected we can make a difference in this world.
On Sundays, we’ve heard from people about how their connection with Shepherd of the Hills has made a difference in their lives. We heard how the people of this church have been a support in hard times and how the church has given people the opportunity to serve others. We believe that God is moving within our church and calling us to move with him.
Please be in prayer for what God is doing here at Shepherd of the Hills. We are blessed to be the church together, and we look forward to continuing to walk this journey with you.
