Mystery of the Cross Artwalk

This year’s Good Friday Art Show is now open all week at the RSM campus, until Easter Sunday, April 4, any time day and night. The theme is “The Mystery of the Cross”, where artists from both congregations have created crosses that reflect the mystery of the crucifixion and its meaning to them. This is a self-guided exhibit on the patio on the RSM campus. Make sure to see this year’s show as we experience the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus on Easter. More information about the art show is also available for HERE.

Easter Sunday

MV campus

You will be able to come and sit on the lawn in socially distanced spaces to experience one of two Easter worship services, 9:00 am and 10:30 am (note that the 9:00 am worship at capacity). And if neither of those experiences is comfortable for you as of yet, you will still be able to watch them online. MV will be “Live Streaming” our 9:00 am service, so you can watch it as it happens and it will be available to view anytime after the service is over as a recorded event.

Click HERE to reserve a space at the 10:30 a.m. worship service at the MV campus (the 9:00 am service has reached its capacity). The service is limited to 45 households.

Also, there will be a Sunrise Service available for viewing online.

RSM campus

Click HERE to reserve a space at either the 9:30 or 11:00 am Easter service at the RSM campus. Each service is limited to 30 cars (for viewing the service from inside your vehicle and tuning to a designated FM ratio station) and 42 households (for viewing the service from your own chair in the parking lot). A butterfly release will take place after each service.

All Church Daily Prayer Call: Monday through Saturday at 9:20 a.m.

  • Call us direct at 1-339-209-4600 (lines are usually open by 9:10 a.m.)
  • Six mornings a week we gather together by a conference call for a phone-in time of prayer.  Led by a pastor or lay leader, this 15-minute call gathers us together in a time of separation.  It allows us to share our prayer concerns, and to begin our day in community.  All you have to do is dial the direct number above and you’ll be on the call with your church family.  When you dial in, please be sure to have your television and any other background noise turned off to help with clarity on the phone call. If you are calling by cell phone, this should be a toll-free call.

iServe/iNeed Ministry

If you have a need we want to pair you up with someone who can help.  If you want to serve, we want to pair you up with someone in need.  And the way we are doing this is through our iServe/iNeed form.  Follow the link below and let us know if you are in need or looking to serve.  https://sothumc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/48/responses/new – and sign up. Let’s care for one another during this time.

Community Table Every Wednesday

The Community Table ministry is still serving folks during this time. However, rather than having a sit down meal, we are preparing “grab and go” meals for all who are in need. Pick up a meals between 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the RSM site.

Pastoral Care

Please know that Pastor Jon and I are available for pastoral care by phone or video call.  In these challenging times, we want you to know that we are here for you if you need us.  You can reach us by email at: Pastorjon@sothumc.org or Pastorkarl@sothumc.org

We will make it through this.  Remember the words so often quoted in the Psalms when we are reminded, “God’s steadfast love endures forever.”

Giving

Remember, you can continue to be part of making a difference at Shepherd of the Hills through your gifts and pledges.  You can drop a check in the mail, you can click the following link and give online, or you can most likely do so through your bank’s online payment options.  As we continue to be in ministry and reaching out, your gifts provide a solid foundation to make this a reality.
